Mama Said There'd Be Days Like This

**Disclaimer: I recognize that the events of my life are, by comparison, a cake walk when compared to the tragedies that others face on a daily basis. That said...my frustration is still very real. This is MY walk, and while it is infinitely easier than others, it can overwhelm me at times.**

Yesterday was one of "THOSE" days. You know what I'm talking about. We've all been there. Done that.....Pancake flour that was spilled and tracked throughout the apartment while I was showering. The computer that "magically" fell off the counter. My favorite mason jar getting smashed to smithereens. Spending hours on the telephone with pencil pushers trying to get insurance issues figured out. Kids falling down and sobbing every 30 seconds. Dropping a box full of important forms in the sloppy, muddy, melting snow. Answers to emails that were not what I had hoped....making more work and phone calls necessary. Add to it the general chaos that life with 4 young kids holds and you can imagine that by the time the kids were asleep the sigh of relief that I heaved probably caused a hurricane somewhere in the world. I then went to take are of some 'business' alone...something I don't get to do alone when the kids are awake. As I was finishing I looked down and something caught my eye. Now, maybe it was exhaustion. Maybe I've finally lost it, but when I saw this I laughed and laughed and laughed. Who doesn't need a little "lover boy" on the base of their toilet?!

TJ checked it out this morning....maybe he already knew Simon was there?!

Sometimes you just need a reminder that life is funny....there is joy to be found....and tomorrow is a new day!

Oh goodness I hear ya. Those days when every little thing piles up into a chaos of crazy seem to happen a lot around here too! Good for you for ending the day with a laugh and positive spirit. Today will be better, right? :)
